Martin Salter, Labour MP for Reading West, has sponsored Little Heath School student Helen Cole in her quest to fly to Morocco for a once in a lifetime trip to North Africa. On Thursday 25^th February Mr Salter visited Little Heath School to present Helen with a cheque for £20 as she hopes to raise a total of around £2000 in time for her flight this Easter. The trip is an opportunity to experience the culture of such an interesting country as well contributing to ‘Education for All’, a global project which aims to provide the opportunity of a college education for girls from rural communities.

The trip to Morocco for Helen and other students will provide a fantastic opportunity to work alongside those girls at the college in Ansi who would otherwise not have access to a formal education. Before taking part in a community project in Imil in conjunction with the female students, they will enjoy a sightseeing trip to Marrakech when they will visit traditional markets and souks. Before flying back to the UK, there will also be the opportunity to spend a night under the stars in the desert, enjoy a camel ride, and visiting villages along the way.
