Tilehurst’s Part in World’s Biggest Coffee Morning
Reading West MP Martin Salter will be attending a coffee morning in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support, on Friday.
Mr Salter is once again planning to show his support for the local Tilehurst Village Surgery, by attending their record-breaking “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” fundraising event. The event is being organised by the NHS Surgery to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support’s annual event. Last year the event raised an incredible £7.5 million nationally, and this year Reading hopes to join in the ranks to reach even greater heights. Members of the public are encouraged to attend, and make a small donation for the coffee and the cake they eat.
Martin Salter said:
“This is a brilliant opportunity for members of the local community to band together for a common cause; everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. MacMillan Cancer Support is a great national charity, which provides an excellent support system to people affected by this awful illness. I’ll be there for my morning coffee and cake, and I encourage others to come along and back this good cause.”
